New Wing Nut Tool

I am now carrying this hand-made wing nut tool that minimize wear and tear on weaver's fingers, and marring of wing nuts and wood surfaces that can occur when pliers are used. This tool gives weavers the leverage needed to avoid hand-strain or the use of pliers to remove or tighten wing nuts (i.e., for changing out reeds in the beater or take-down / setup of some loom models). > The tool simply fits over the top of the wing nut and protruding bolt, and you can easily loosen or tighten the nut. The tool is fluted around the edges for better grip (see attached photo)and has multiple coats of finish. The tool is $12 plus shipping and is available in maple, cherry, or black walnut. Specify a 2nd choice of wood. If you intend to use the tool on a Kessenich rug loom, let me know as the wing nuts are much larger and the tool requires larger openings. (We will have to have a special one made for you). The tool will handle the majority of wing nut sizes found on weaving equipment (wing nut spans of 1" and greater. If you have wing nut with spans 3/4" or less, a version of the tool with sized-down openings can be made.) Dimensions of tool: 3" L, 1” W, 3/4" to 7/8" H, and slot to fit wing-nut is 1 1/2" L. Please specify Maple, Cherry or Black Walnut.

Warp Helpers

If you have never used one of these you should really try one. Ever sit down to warp and the phone rings, kids need something, dog needs to go out - well, you know what I mean.............These wonderful little helpers have been my life saver. Clamp it to your beam. Put your cross on it. Put some masking tape next to them. You can start warping with a secure and organized cross. If you have one of the above interruptions you can grab a piece of masking tape, put it over your cross and tend to the distraction and return to your loom with your cross intact waiting for you.

Only $12.00

Available in Leopard Wood, Lepoardwood and Charte Viga.

Hand crafted weaving shuttles in exotic woods! NO LONGER AVAILABLE

These are beautifully crafted shuttles by Jenkins Woodworking in Oregon. Each is hand made and hand rubbed. They are lovely to look at and lovely to use. Try one of the mini's for your scarves - absolutely wonderful. They are 8 1/2" long and weigh around 2 ounces, depending on the wood and come with 2 lovely wooden handcrafted bobbins. The 12" shuttle uses 4" bobbins and the 13" uses 5" bobbins.

Want one in a special wood - just let me know and we will try to fulfill your request! You will notice that Mini Shuttle M6 is shown without a bobbin. All the new Mini Shuttles will take the LeClerc 4" bobbin instead of the hand made wooden bobbins. I will however have the wooden ones in stock for all the minis you have already purchased
