1. Comb in position to begin loading fiber 2. Fiber loaded on stationary comb 3. Comb turned to sideways position
& ready for combing
4. Beginning of fiber transfer 5. Comb Position at end of Transfer 6. Grasping Fiber to begin Dizzing
7. Fiber in diz

Explanations of above pictures.

1. This is the way the combs should be set up to begin lashing on the fiber.

2. View of the Stationary comb with fiber lashed on.

3. View of the way the comb should be turned to begin combing.

4. Shows the direction the moveable comb should be in for combing. This also shows the first stage of the transfer from the moveable comb to the stationary comb. You will be combing towards the "C" clamp.

5. This shows where the comb will end up in the fiber transfer. When you are at this stage, pull back on the comb and some fiber will transfer to the stationary comb. Repeat until no more fiber will transfer.

6. View of grasping the fiber to pull through the diz. Hold the fiber with one hand, put a crochet hook through the appropriate hole in the diz and pull the fiber through.

7. View of the fiber in place in the diz. Now, begin dizzing. It is the same thing you do on your wheel or spindle when spinning - drafting!
