These are some of the finest combs I have found and I have been doing many searches. They are so pretty and store so safely that you will want to leave them out for everyone to see.
From a satisfied customer:
"I recently bought a set of your mini woolcombs from The Wheel Thing. I was surprised to find the stand was included. Today I spent about an hour combing dyed batts of wool, mixing colors and basically rescuing this fiber from the compacted unspinnable mess it had become. WOW. I now have several beautiful colored little rovings to spin up - although I love to just admire them in their lovely combed state. The stand makes a huge difference in being able to draw out a roving. I have another pair of mini combs, by Louet, but I can't make the same lovely preparation, because there is no stand. So, I'm very happy with your product - they work beautifully and are so well made. Laura Whitten"

This is our standard hackle with a tine width of 41/2 ". The tines are 1/8 inch thick by 21/2 " long and set 1/4" apart. Some people use these beside their drum carder to open the locks first. We are also offering a Hackle with 4" tines which is great for blending. They can also be made in any length you wish for fiber and color blending. They also are made from the usual hardwood. The price will be determined by current market prices for steel and the US dollar vs the Canadian dollar. Please send your specificaitons and I will get a current price for you.
And here is the man that makes all these combs possible!
